Teledemo UniDevCo Products
UniDevCo will only arrange a Teledemo through an ACCPAC Solution Provider
who must be present at the time of the presentation.
The demo
This method of demonstration has proven to be very effective when trying to
show more in-depth functionality in UniDevCo products requiring more intimate
knowledge of the application. The process requires an Internet browser to
access a specific URL that will display the desktop of a computer in the
UniDevCo office.
UniDevCo will require some information about the prospective user's business
problem/needs prior to the
demo to ensure that the presentation addresses the client's requirements. It is
also important to test the connection and other issues beforehand. Having
difficulty connecting or sorting out other issues at the time
of the demo is not only frustrating but also unprofessional and distracts from
the product or information that the client wants to see.
What you need
 | A stable internet connection with a minimum connection speed of 56k, but faster
is better. |
 | An Internet browser. |
 | 1024x768 screen resolution is preferred. Let the presenter know if
this is not possible. It will limit the viewing area and the
presentation will have to be adjusted accordingly. |
 | A telephone. Speakerphone capabilities recommended but not required. |
 | A URL that we will provide. |
How it works
 | A few minutes before the presentation is scheduled to begin, call the
presenter at (604) 926-3215. Voice communication will be handled by telephone. |
 | You will use your browser to connect to the URL that we have provided.
That will allow you to view our computer screen in your browser Window, via
the internet, while we demo the software. |
 | The presenter will ask you to confirm how much of the presentation screen
is visible in your browser Window and make any necessary adjustments. |
 | Watch the demo and interact as necessary to ensure the desired results. |
Remember that the presenter cannot see the
client and cannot judge from their reactions where to pause, slow down, or
emphasize certain points or features. This will be up to you to
control and relay to the presenter. The speed of the internet connection will
also affect the speed at which the presenter can show certain screens/functions.
The Dealer or coordinator must let the presenter know when he is going too
fast for the connection and when screens are not loaded before the presenter
points out features on the screen. This will help to ensure an effective
presentation.
