Linking the UniDevCo Sales Analysis Database to Sales Optimizer
We have provided a sample
Custom Script to
correctly import Sales Analysis data. To use this script, download the Zip
file, unzip it and copy the SCRIPTSA.SMD file to your SOP10A program directory
located in the same directory as your ACCPAC program files or wherever you have
placed it during the installation of Sales Optimizer.

Create a Pervasive ODBC
connection on the local workstation to access the UNI subdirectory located in
the ACCPAC data directory.

Open Sales Optimizer and choose
New.

Click on Import.

Enter a name for your Analysis
and select your date range. To use the supplied custom script, please select
January 2003. We recommend that you check on all options in the Analyse By:
section.

Select the UniDevCo ODBC
Connection that you created in Step 1 from the available data sources.

A list of existing tables will
appear. It is not necessary to select a table if you use the custom script.
Click on the Load Script button and select SCRIPTSA.SMD.

The Custom Script will be
displayed. Please note the syntax of the date range in the script. This date
range will match your selected Analysis date. If you wish to change the date
range, you must change the range on the Analysis screen and edit the script
accordingly using the same date syntax. IMPORTANT
– you must uncheck the Use Generated Date Clause.

Click on the Import Data button
and your UniDevCo Sales Analysis data will be imported and ready for use with
Sales Optimizer.
