Critical error: Actual number of vendors/lines found not equal to number stored in header file.

The IR header record contains a count of the number of lines and vendors (each maintained in separate files) attached to the document.  The error indicates that the system cannot find the number of vendor records which is attached to the document (as per the header count). This serves as a check that the system's integrity is still good and an error would indicate that either the header count is corrupt or (more likely) that the vendor file is corrupt.

The error will be picked up by the integrity check. If phase 1 of the check was clear, phase 2 will offer to delete the document, but you then   manually have to track the AP, IC and GL entries for the document and ensure all entries were posted correctly. If phase 1 of the check failed it could simply be as a result of the indexes being corrupt and running the compress function in IR and this might solve the problem.
