Quantity on Purchase Order - Integrity check conflict between IR and ICPhase 2 of the Inventory Control integrity check process checks for quantities on purchase order from it's own purchase order files and does not recognize quantities placed on purchase order from Inventory Receipts. This means that IC will try and "correct" quantities on PO by setting them to zero, while IR will reset them to the correct values. To correct this error, IR installs a modified version of the IC integrity check routine (ICDCHECK.LD4) to the \ICASP directory. The modified file will simply ignore the check of quantities on purchase order if it finds the IR global file (IRGLOB) in the data set. If the IR global file is not found, IC will include the check for quantities in it's integrity check process. If IC was installed after IR or is re-installed after IR, the original ICDCHECK.LD4 file will again be installed which will cause the integrity error to appear or re-appear. To correct this one has to re-install the modified version of the file from the IR install disks. This is required for both IC6.1B and IC6.5A. The older file (for IC6.1B) installed with the IR6.1B disks will cause a critical error when running a data integrity check with new IC6.5A data. To correct the error install the IR/IC patch disk, which will install the correct ICDCHECK file as well as the IR files required to run IR6.1B with IC6.5A. If you have errors with IC and IR integrity check conflicts, we have provided a IR/IC patch file which will read the IC version you have installed and will install the correct IC integrity check file and IR system files. The patch file should be unzipped with the "-d" option to an install disk and installed in ACCPAC with the normal F3-Install function of the Windowing System Manager. The patch disk is valid for IR6.1B only. IR6.5 has the selection for the correct version of IC included. If you have similar errors with IR6.5A simply re-install the product from the original disks. For further information about running IR6.1B with IC6.5A see Running IR6.1B with IC6.5A - Data Integrity in Inventory Control V6.5A tech note. |
