UniLauncher

UniDevCo ACCPAC Launcher 2.0

Introduction

This program is designed to launch ANY installed versions of ACCPAC Advantage Series and/or their relative tools. The UniLauncher will allow multiple 16-bit and 32-bit versions of ACCPAC Advantage Series (both Pervasive.SQL and MS SQL Server versions) to be installed on the same computer.

In order for this program to work properly, specific steps must be followed. It is recommended that this program be used only with ACCPAC installations that are not intended to be used with corporate data. This program is designed to allow ACCPAC dealers to run multiple ACCPAC installations for testing and demonstration purposes.

Setup

Once the program is installed, follow the steps below to add different installations of ACCPAC to the UniLauncher.

If ACCPAC Advantage Series is already installed, skip step #1.

  1. Install ACCPAC Advantage Series. If the version you are installing has both a 16-bit and 32-bit version, you may install both before continuing. Make sure that the Tools directory is specific to your version and the directory name is only 8 characters long if you have the 16-bit version (i.e. C:\CATOOLS3). Also make sure that the name of the programs directory has an eight character name (i.e. C:\pluswin3).
  2. After completing the installation of ACCPAC Advantage Series (16-bit and/or 32-bit), make sure that ACCPAC is running and the installation was successful.
  3. Start the UniLauncher.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Give a descriptive name to the application (i.e. "ACCPAC 5.0 for MS-SQL Server").
  6. Select 16-bit or 32-bit. Click the Find button.
  7. Check the paths found and make sure they are correct. If not select the correct path.
  8. Click OK.
  9. If you have installed both 16-bit and 32-bit version repeat steps #4 to #8. Otherwise continue to step #10.
  10. Repeat steps #1 to #9 for every other ACCPAC version that you require.
